DESCRIPTION:(Closed)\nSenior Researcher Jessica West will deliver a virtual
  lecture to the Space Governance Lab course on “space-cyber governance 
 ”at Indiana University on the topic of security governance at the United
  Nations. Titled “Forty Years to Nowhere\,” she traced the history of 
 competing efforts to prevent an arms race in outer space (PAROS) and their
  continued relevance today.\nRepresenting an effort to bridge competing ap
 proaches\, Jessica detailed the discussions that took place in the recentl
 y completed Open-Ended Working Group on Reducing Space Threats. Although t
 his process ended without a consensus outcome\, she pointed the new topics
 \, ideas\, and cross-regional engagement and cooperation as signs of it’
 s enduring value going forward.
