DESCRIPTION:(Private event)\nSenior Researcher Jessica West will be part of
  a roundtable at "From Local to Global: Navigating the Evolving Cyberthrea
 t Landscape\," hosted by the Centre of International Governance Innovatio
 n (CIGI).\nIn an era dominated by technology\, where the boundaries betwee
 n physical and virtual worlds are blurred\, the need for cybersecurity vig
 ilance has never been more critical. The Centre for International Governan
 ce Innovation (CIGI) is pleased to host two round table discussions: “Th
 e Global Cyberthreat Assessment: Unmasking Threat Actors’ Tactics” and
  “Navigating the Landscape of Local Cyberthreats.” Bringing together e
 xperts from local academia\, industry and government\, the conversations w
 ill seek to understand challenges\, identify opportunities and inspire sol
 utions for stronger cybersecurity resilience. As Waterloo region grapples 
 with recent cyber incidents\, notably those targeting our educational inst
 itutions\, it is imperative that we remain alert. These incidents are esca
 lating\, now posing a direct threat to our critical infrastructure without
  warning\, and the potential fallout could be severe unless we are adequat
 ely prepared.
