 talent’\nDespite a growing emphasis on STEAM [science\, technology\, eng
 ineering\, the arts\, and mathematics] education and hyped claims of a ‘
 war for talent’ in the space industry\, navigating a space career remain
 s challenging.\nThis episode of Space Café Canada will feature Hira Nedee
 m\, the first Canadian recipient of the Brooke Owens Fellowship\, which of
 fers capable young women and other gender minorities a career boost in the
  aerospace sector. Building on this opportunity\, Hira co-founded the Zeni
 th Canada Pathways Foundation and\, with her team\, developed the Zenith F
 ellowship\, which provides internship and mentorship opportunities in the 
 space sector to students and young professionals from underrepresented gro
 ups across Canada. Hira is currently working in the United States as a Spa
 ce Systems Engineer on the SkySat Mission Operations Team at Planet.\nJoin
