DESCRIPTION:As part of this the Canadian Council of Churches (CCC) meetin
 gs Project Ploughshares is hosting a reception for supporters at the:\n\
 nAlt Hotel \n\n310 Donald St\, Winnipeg\n\nThis will be an opportunity to
  meet director Paul Heidebrecht and get an update on Ploughshares.  \n\n
 2026 marks the 50th year since Ernie Regehr initiated Project Ploughshares
  on the campus of Conrad Grebel University College at the University of Wa
 terloo. The early area of concern was "witnessing against the militarism 
 that impedes development and self-determination\, and exploring alternativ
 e\, less militaristic\, national security strategies with a particular\, b
 ut not exclusive\, focus on Canada."  Fifty years later this concern is n
 o less relevant.\n\nJoin Paul and other Ploughshares supporters to reflect
  on this work and hear exciting updates on current projects at Ploughshare
