Building Capacity: Caribbean Coalition for Development and Reduction of Armed Violence Training Manual
This manual is a joint product of Project Ploughshares, Caribbean Coalition for Development and the Reduction of Armed Violence (CDRAV), and the Women’s Institute for Alternative Development (WINAD) of Trinidad and Tobago.
The goal: to increase community safety and reduce armed violence in the Caribbean by building civil society capacity.
The method: develop focused workshops that build skills in organizational management in civil society organizations so that they can effectively reduce violence and build peace.
The context: A region with one of the highest violent crime rates in the world.
The preparation of this manual was undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
