Nancy Regehr Leaving Project Ploughshares

After more than 30 years of service with Project Ploughshares, including years of volunteer service before being appointed to a staff position by the board in 1982, Nancy Regehr will leave her position as Associate Executive Director on June 30, 2011.   Executive Director John Siebert thanked Nancy for her exemplary service to the organization. “Nancy’s leadership has been key to developing Project Ploughshares into an expertly managed and financially stable organization.”Rev. Lowell Nussey, Chair of the Project Ploughshares board, described Nancy’s contribution to Project Ploughshares over the years as “central to the institutional, financial, and fundraising development of our organization. It has been a pleasure to work with her and to witness her calm, steady, and tireless leadership.”Nancy thanked her staff and board colleagues, saying “it has been a privilege and honour to work with the wonderful staff, board, and supporters of Project Ploughshares, and to engage with a wide range of partners in Canada and abroad. I remain deeply committed to Project Ploughshares and its mission, and I look forward to finding new ways to contribute to our shared objective of a more just and peaceful world.”
